Winter Season
With the current regulations surrounding Covid-19, this will certainly be a year of hockey that we’ll always remember! Our overall goal however, will be to operate as “normal” as possbile and still have a great year at Hodder. We have been working closely with Hockey NL and the Town of Deer Lake to ensure we meet government regulations and have the proper procedures and policies in place to ensure a safe and fun hockey environment all season long!
Here are some important highlights from the HNL Return to Hockey Plan to familiarize yourself with:
➢ Requirement of COVID screening forms upon entering the stadium (contact tracing purposes)
➢ Players of all ages are required to come to practice wearing a mask and fully dressed for hockey (with
the exception of skates, helmets and gloves in a small bag)
➢ Dressing rooms will not be available to Minor Hockey players at the outset of the season with the
exceptions of designated washroom usage and goaltenders where applicable
➢ Players can be accompanied by one parent/guardian in the stadium – no more than one
➢ Hockey groups will be assigned a section in Hodder where they can put skates on; distancing will be
expected at all times and masks can be removed just prior to entering the ice
➢ Skate Guards will be required
➢ Doors will be locked 5 minutes after scheduled start time, so it is very important to be on time
➢ There will be a maximum of 30 players and/or coaches allowed on the ice for each session
